New season scent: Lipsy London ‘Love’

Looking for a new scent for the party season? Look no further than Lipsy London’s brand new scent, Lipsy ‘Love’, which hit the shelves on Monday.

Admittedly, I was initially sceptical on first reading the description on Lipsy’s website. The emphasis on ‘fruity’ and the slightly garish gold and pink zebra print box didn’t fill me with confidence that this would be the ‘romantic’ scent I was hoping for. Luckily, I was in for a surprise.

The fruity top notes of lemon, orange blossom and rose are balanced perfectly by mid notes of jasmine and magnolia, and base notes of cedarwood and musk. The result is a romantic fragrance that oozes the girly glamour that the Lipsy brand is all about.

As for the TOWIE-esque packaging, once you get inside the box, all that’s left is a classic, gold heart-shaped bottle, which is just as pretty as the scent inside.

It’s not just the bottle and fragrance that you’ll fall in love with: At just £25 per 50ml EDT it is a great bargain, and sure to sell out fast!

Overall verdict: A sophisticated, glamourous and yes, ‘romantic’ scent. Not in the same league as the likes of Chanel, but neither is the price tag.
