FoodCycle to host ‘The Ultimate Taster Session’

FoodCycle will be putting on ‘The Ultimate Taster Session’ as part of the Guild’s new ‘Give it a Go’ programme.

The session will be taking place on Friday 12 October at 1pm in The Hub training room, situated on the top floor of the Guild building. Project Leaders will be waiting at LGoS reception to meet volunteers before the session.

The session will feature an interactive game designed to get volunteers to think about the challenges of cooking with random ingredients. There will also be discussion of other ways to get involved with the project, including fundraising.

FoodCycle is a national charity which combines volunteers, surplus food and a free kitchen space to create healthy and delicious free meals for people affected by food poverty in the UK.

It has 15 hubs across the country. The Liverpool hub has been running since 2010, and holds weekly cooking sessions alternating between Kensington Methodist Church and Asylum Link.
