Liverpool Debating on sponsorship at the Olympics

This is the first of our features on the Liverpool Debating public debates. Each debate takes the form of two speeches for and two speeches against the motion, followed by questions and a vote. Let us know how you would have voted in the comments.

Liverpool Debating yesterday kicked off their debates for the term with “This house would ban all fast-food and fizzy drink companies from advertising at future Olympic and Paralympic games”. The speakers for the proposition were Rob Simpson and Dan Bradley, and for the opposition Phoebe Jackson and Beth  Lawrence.
