2013 World Cup Fixtures Released

The fixture list for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup, to be held in this country, has now been released.

The region will host several key matches in the tournament. Langtree Park, St Helens will see the famous Australian ‘Green & Golds’ in town when they meet Fiji in a Group A match on November 2nd.

The Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington will stage a battle of the Pacific between holders New Zealand and Samoa in Group B on October 27th before hosting a Quarter-Final on 17th November.

The DW Stadium, Wigan will stage a Quarter Final on November 16th, whilst the Leigh Sports Village will host Tonga V Cook Islands on 5th November.

England begin their campaign for World Cup glory against the old foe Australia in a double -header which kicks off the tornament at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on October 26th, which also includes Wales V Italy. England then go on to play Ireland at the Galpharm Stadium in Huddersfield on November 2nd and Fiji at the KC Stadium in Hull on 9th November.

The semi-finals of the tournament will be held at Wembley in a double-header on November 23rd with the World Cup Final at Old Trafford, Manchester on the 30th November.
