Richard Nicoll and Topshop Bridal Collection

Every girl dreams of the perfect wedding dress whether that be a huge Cinderella gown or a sleek, understated dress, but rarely would one thing of going to British high street chain Topshop for a Bridal gown. Richard Nicoll, has today however, unveiled his first Bridal Collection for Topshop.

Nicoll commented on his first bridal collection stating, “I proposed the idea after my Spring/Summer 2012 show. I liked the idea of making a modern affordable alternative to meringue culture. The dresses are marketed as bridal but would equally be suitable as bridesmaid or cocktail dresses.”

The collection comprises of seven dresses both full length and short. Nicoll is known for his simple design aesthetic when it comes to showcasing femininity and this collection is no different. Made out of silk and satin the dresses have intricate detailing and pretty frill hems however they definitely have a somewhat laid back theme compared with your average wedding dress.
