Lulu Guinness, one of the UK’s biggest accessory designers launched her first apparel collection today, in the form of 14 T-shirts for high street brand Uniqlo. Each of the T-shirts bears one of Lulu’s most iconic designs from red lips to cameo prints!

Guinness commented on the new venture saying, “I have always wanted to put my designs onto T-shirts, so when Uniqlo approached me about doing a collaboration I was thrilled. I have always liked the simplicity of Uniqlo products – they are fantastic for basics and also I love the Heattech range. The brand also chooses intelligent collaborations with designers and I respect their innovation.”

On the actually design aspect of the T-shirts she commented, “I wanted the Uniqlo UT collaboration to follow my mainline handbag collection as much as possible, so that it truly represents the Lulu Guinness brand. I looked at my main icons, and also my inspirations for the Lulu Guinness spring/summer 2012 collection, and pulled together my favourite designs which I then worked into the T-shirt design. My iconic lips were important as was my Cameo and my favourite print, Doll Face which was inspired by Peggy Moffitt.”

Take a look below at my favourite T-shirts from the collection including the Cat print, the Cityscape print, the Cameo print and the Sunglasses print!

All T-shirts are priced at £14.90 and available both in store and online.
